Portrait of Giorgi Mazmishvili

About me

I'm Giorgi Mazmishvili, an independent developer who builds Shopify apps. I'm based in Hamburg, Germany.

What I build

I build small, focused apps for problems that sit between Shopify's checkout, its data and the tools merchants connect to it. Each one handles one job:

  • ConsentGuard: asks customers to accept your terms before checkout and keeps exportable proof of every acceptance.
  • Linesman: stops bot checkouts and card testing at the payment step, then cleans up the fake customer accounts bots leave behind.
  • PixelGuard: shows how many of your orders your Meta ad tracking actually saw, and the gap in money.
  • ClearView: shows your true net profit on every order, after COGS, transaction fees, shipping and refunds.

Why I investigate merchant problems

The problems I find most interesting are the ones merchants describe in forum threads and App Store reviews but can't easily diagnose: orders that never show up in ad reports, disputes without evidence, checkouts flooded by bots. I try to reproduce the problem, understand why it happens, and only then decide whether software is the right answer.

Why I write tutorials

Many Shopify problems can be checked or fixed without installing anything. Writing up how to do that is useful to merchants, and it shows me which problems come up again and again. Those are the ones worth building for.

How I build

I prefer Shopify's supported extension points (checkout extensions, Shopify Functions, web pixels) over theme edits, so apps keep working when themes change and uninstall cleanly. I ship a small version first and improve it based on what merchants actually do with it.
