ClearView 30-day dashboard showing net profit, revenue, product costs, transaction fees, shipping cost and paid orders

The problem

Shopify reports revenue, but many merchants can't easily see which orders and products actually make money.

What ClearView does

  • Net profit per order and per product, after product costs, payment fees, shipping and refunds
  • Uses the actual transaction fee Shopify reports when it's available
  • Dashboard for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, with a daily profit trend
  • Most and least profitable products
  • Cost coverage check, so missing product costs don't inflate your profit
  • Product costs from Shopify, CSV or manual entry

Where it works: Shopify admin: reporting on your existing order data, nothing on the storefront

Getting started

  1. Install. Your last 60 days of orders are imported.
  2. Check cost coverage and add missing product costs (Shopify Cost per item, CSV or manual).
  3. Confirm your payment fee and average shipping cost per order in Settings.

Questions merchants ask

Is ClearView free?

Yes, the App Store listing shows ClearView as free, with every feature included for up to 5,000 orders a month.

How much order history will I see?

On install it imports your last 60 days of orders, which is what Shopify gives apps by default. Newer orders then build up to 180 days of history.

Where do my product costs come from?

From the Cost per item you set in Shopify, a CSV import, or manual entry in the app, with manual costs taking priority. A cost coverage check shows which sales have no known cost.

How are payment fees, shipping and tax handled?

ClearView uses the actual transaction fee Shopify reports when available, otherwise the percentage and fixed fee you set. Shipping cost is the average per-order amount you enter, and tax is excluded from revenue.

Do I need to connect my ad accounts?

No. ClearView uses only your Shopify order and product data.

What data does it store, and what happens when I uninstall?

Order totals, line items and traffic source, but not customer names, emails, addresses or payment details. Uninstalling deletes all of your store's data from ClearView.
